Hartlepool Advanced Motorists
Hartlepool Advanced Motorists is the only Group in the Hartlepool area that can provide the skills to teach drivers to become Advanced Drivers. We are a registered charity and rely on donations to keep us running. The training is done voluntarily by our skilled instructors on a 1:1 basis.
Our sole aim is to improve road safety. This is achieved by improving driver skills and training drivers to become Advanced Motorists.
Being an advanced driver or rider is a journey of continuous learning, and one of its key stages is the internationally recognised Advanced Test. Pioneered by the IAM, it is this for which we are perhaps best known.
Hartlepool Advanced Motorists affords its members varied opportunities for improving their driving technique. In preparing for their IAM Test, typically, our members enjoy 1 to 1 coaching in their own cars with a Group Observer. Upon successful completion of their test, members might like to undergo further training to become a Group Observer.
You may ask why should I take the test. Many drivers turn their noses up and pronounce they are perfectly capable of driving, thank you very much!
